Photography, like other representational methods, is a tool that allows for analysis and understanding of the world in which we live. The aspects of this medium that are of primary interest to me are composition, perspective, and lighting. While drawing relies on using the mind's eye and perception to construct one's view of the world around us, a camera is brutally honest about what exists and how it can be captured. My aim with this tool is to gain insight into the shaping of both built and natural environments in order to strengthen my own design. I do not possess any special equipment or technology but rather prefer to focus on capturing my personal impressions and interests with anything at hand. My current implement of choice is my Google Nexus 5x, convenient and at hand.
